UKRO is committed to improving rescue standards throughout the UK. Bringing together the UKs rescue services and developing their skills to serve the public.
We welcome you to the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation website, a quality resource for all UKRO stakeholders that includes new areas to support our continual push for Education and Skill Development as part of the World Rescue Organisation.
I am delighted to be the Chair of UKRO, a respected professional organisation that leads the development of rescue techniques. My thanks to Derbyshire for what was a dazzling 2019 challenge. With our planning team evaluating the effects of Covid19 on the 2020 Challenge, it was agreed with Tyne and Wear that the Challenge will take place in 2021. This allows FRS's, their teams, and the planning team to hopefully deal with the pressing issues we have as a fire and rescue service as we respond to Covid19 demands.
We now look towards 2021, and thank Tyne and Wear for their continued support with this challenge, ensuring that UKRO rescue challenge remains the premier event for technical rescue within the UK. Already our committee has started to plan some of the details with Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, to ensure that you as visitors and competitors to the 2021 Challenge can further the learning within the fire and rescue sector.
As ever the UKRO could not operate without the support of all its volunteers, patrons, business partners and sponsors, I look forward to working with those dedicated people in the coming years to advance professional rescue, providing the beneficial impact of our charity to the UK and world, making people safer.
Details for the 2021 UK National Rescue Challenge will be available in due course
